WS - It Won't Do it on It's Own

Of all the household chores, the laundry is the least thing I wanted to do. If I can do it my way, I would never really do laundry. I hate all the things that come with it - from washing, to drying, to folding. As much as I can, I always put off doing this chore, until the time comes that I really need to do it.

What I do is wash only a few items and tell myself I will do the others tomorrow. But tomorrow comes and I get lazy doing it, until I realize it's mountanous amount of clothes already. Then I repeat the cycle. Yeah, I am so lazy when it comes to doing the laundry!

Last Saturday, mom went out and sister used the PC in the morning, so it left me with nothing to do. So, I decided to wash some clothes. Yes, just some of it - repeating the cycle. What I normally do is segregate the clothes into three piles: tops and bottoms. If I see that I have enough in the pile, that's what I will wash and each of the pile I divide into two. When I put the first batch, I realized that I was left with little clothes on the next batch, so I went back to get more. After three hours of washing, this is what shocked me:

Seems as if I washed a closetful of clothes, eh? Even I can't believe that. LOL. To non-Filipinos, it's normal for us Filipinos to hang the clothes to dry. Our machine does have spin dry, but it doesn't really makes clothes dry -it just takes off excess water. Anyway, my sister was teasing me endlessly about this, she said I could open a boutique with the amount of clothes washed. I can't help but to laugh about it, too! Yes, it certainly won't do it on its own. Happy to be laundry free now!

Thanks for dropping. If you have time, please check out my other Weekend Snapshots here, here and here. Have a great week ahead.

LOL. I'm not a fan of laundry either and there always seems to be a big pile no matter if I do it or not!
Dryers aren't common here in Japan either so it does add another step to the whole laundry process. sigh.

Would you belive I actually enjoy doing laundry? It's probably my favorite household chore and I would look forward to it when I was living abroad. I loved taking them out of the washer and I would revel in the fresh smell as I hung them to dry. :)

Great Job! What a successful day for you :)

Ohhh I wish I can hang my washing too like what I used back in Philippines. It is so annoying here that I have to iron after drying, lol.

Happy WS!
