[Off to Spain!]

...Or so I wish!

Being a Filipino, part of me wants to see where my ancestors came from (to those who don’t know, my country – the Philippines was once under Spain for more than 300 years). I want to experience the culture as well as see the sights. Oh yes, definitely the sights!

Imagine seeing real-life bullfighting and seeing the rich architecture! Reality check: it’s really expensive to go to Europe. Aside from plane tickets, if you don’t know anyone who can let you stay in their house, chances are you’d shell out lots of money for a hotel room.

If given the chance to go to Spain, first thing I would do is to book at the cheapest hotel (without sacrificing the quality of the room, of course) I could find. A vacation to another country isn’t a vacation if you’re not going to stay for at least a week, so I should definitely budget well.

Like Philippines, I guess attractions in Spain are far from each other. Barcelona has La Sagrada Familia church for one, and it being the oldest unfinished church, I should definitely not miss that out. Again, If I’d be there, I should find one great hotel to be my home in Barcelona.

Another great place to see, too, is Madrid. There I want to experience the rich culture and their arts, as well as tasting authentic Spanish cuisine. Spanish and the Philippines are alike in some things, so for sure a vacation there would feel as if you’re home.

I wonder when will that dream vacation going to happen? No one knows for sure.

Oh, after Spain, I might go to France, too!
