Scrappin’ Moms just released the November issue of Scrapbytes, and through it I learned that I have won the September Challenge.
I didn’t expect I’d win, for when Gaye uploaded her layout, I knew she’s going to win. Well, she won, too, and it was great to be sharing the limelight with her. Hehehehe. I guess blessings come when you least expect it.
This post will be short – I seriously cannot finds the words to fill in this entry – so with that, I want to thank the people behind Scrappin’ Moms for the opportunity. The challenge you post every month really made me better as a scrapbooker. To my co-scrappers, I know all of us are competing for the prize, but I also know that behind the desire to win, all of us just want to share our creativity and talent. I also want to thank you for the comments you’ve left in my layout. All of your comments give me that boost to scrap more. Of course, thank you also to everyone who congratulated me (and those who will congratulate me).
I just noticed, November has been great. First, it was brother whose recipe was published in a magazine plus a picture taken by him will be used in a souvenir program from no less than the group of people who built the church he took pictures of, and now, me winning a scrapbook challenge. I guess when you found the thing you’re most passionate about, no amount of failure would bring you down. I have been scrapping for more than a year, and I admit I am not as good as the other scrappers I know, yet I just hang on there, continuing the things I love to do. In my own time, I earned the reward I longed to have.

Happy weekends, everyone!
